-Wonder Woman #62

We all know who Wonder Woman is, but who is the Wonder Wife I speak of?
Wonder Wife is my imaginary idol. Her marriage is legendary. Her life is balanced, she has defined goals and takes action to achieve them. She is good at something. Her family does nothing but rave about the way she makes them feel. She is healthy, she travels, she laughs, she learns, and she cooks (but someone else cleans, of course). Her home is a peaceful reflection of her family’s interests and loves. She is an environmentalist, a humanitarian, a thoughtful friend and an artist. She is patient, kind, and encouraging. She works hard but is organized and effortlessly collected.
She will be a great mom.
She doesn’t waste time – but she does blog, to keep herself focused and accountable in her quest for “wonder-dom”, and to also keep her friends and family inspired and updated the on latest AND GREATEST adventures of her and her newly-wed superhero husband (and their side-kicks!).
Thank you for joining me on my journey! …and away we go!
New Blog
Hi Friends!
I am migrating my blog over to a business blog. BIG STEPS!! :) It is in its infancy but you gotta start somewhere right? I intend on the new blog being a business & personal blog so you’ll get to hear me talk about randomness still and not just post photos. I’m doing this cause 2 blogs is a little too much for me to handle. I can’t even keep my room clean. You have no room to talk Mom. :) heheee Keep checking both though until the transition is complete and if you have any design ideas for the new blog PLEASE send them, I am not a designer of any sort.
I am happy that my first post on the new blog is one of a beautiful friend of mine. Check it out!!

We’re in the playoffs!! I’ve got my jersey on and I’m ready to go!! I had to log in to share with you what my day is going to be like today…
This morning I’m going to meet Yvette & Katie to go over last minute wedding details (we are the designated helpers for next Saturday), we’re meeting at Lei Lounge…mmmm, mimosas.
Then we’re heading over to my father-in-laws to watch the game of the year (to-date) with the family AND he’ll be making homemade enchiladas. DOUBLE YEAH!
I told my hubby that I would be the designated driver so he can have as much beer as he wants today. He just shared with me that he will be wearing his special Chargers helmet. In other words…..he’s telling me I may have to babysit him.
Please pray for me…

I AM a little scared! :)
GOOOOOOOOOO CHARGERS!

“Enthusiasm is the yeast that makes your hopes shine to the stars. Enthusiasm is the sparkle in your eyes, the swing in your gait. The grip of your hand, the irresistible surge of will and energy to execute your ideas.”

AHH, I am so busy with work and trying to keep up with work and photo editing that my poor bloggy blog is suffering. I just wanted to show some quick love…and say HI FRIENDS, HI BLOG..!! I’ve been doing a lot of shooting lately, all of which I will be blogging about soon! Holidays, Wedding, & Boudoir are all on the to-do list as we speak.
When I was working on my friend’s wedding, I came across this image and had to share. It just totally does something for me. Not sure if anyone else will dig it but it is a shot from the end of the reception when the bride & groom gave the guests giant sparkers to light the dance floor for the last dance. You know how I love things that sparkle!
Hope you likey….wish I could write more but the hubby wants some attention, and I missed him today – so I’m off to play some video games with him. hehee :) I AM A ROCKBAND CHAMPION!
Let your life sparkle…xoxo

merry christmas!
I am a blogslacker. :( Work & the holidays have consumed me. I’m also working on a new photography blog so things are a bit crazy. I am photoshop-less right now on top of it all and that is depressing!! haha You know how I hate to post w/o a photo….
Anyway….I just wanted to say I hope everyone had a fantastic Christmas/holiday. Ours was fun-filled for sure – Christmas Eve we went to my grandparents’ house which is usually pretty quiet since most of my family has moved away. But this year, my aunt and her family showed up to surprise everyone; I don’t think I’ve seen her in 10 years or so – it was incredible. Later that night we went to Dalin’s dad’s for the big family gift exchange, we were there until after midnight enjoying the craziness of a house full of nearly 30. On Christmas morning we met my mom, my sister-in-law & family, and Dalin’s grandma and my mother-in-law’s for breakfast and gifts, the kids were so cute, opening gifts in their jammies…I want to squeeze them!! In the afternoon, we headed to Dalin’s aunt’s home for another big family gift exchange and the yummiest food ever. We passed out as soon as we got home last night. Late nights + calorie overload = Hibernation mode. :)
It was such a great Christmas. Everyone seemed to love the framed honeymoon photos that we gave them…YAY for our 1st “married” Christmas.
I have a few million pics to post as soon as I’m up and running again. Promise.
xoxo

Our favorite little niece had surgery on her ears this morning and we were thinking of her all day. Her mommy has reported to us that she is doing great and isn’t in too much pain so we’re pumped on that!! I just wanted to put this post out into the universe to say we hope she gets all better very, very soon and more importantly, we hope that this will be the end of her ear problems. We love you little one…!!
Can’t leave a post w/o pictures so here our some of our little “angel”:
How cute is her hair?

It was soooo adorable seeing how happy this box made her. AHHH – so cute!!

Please send lots of love and healing energy…
i am thankful

I know I’m late on the Thanksgiving post-tizzle but I have been working on a project for work for the last week solid (except for Thursday and a few hous on Sat). My mind is so exhausted. I need a weekend. :( Hopefully we can take off early one of these days since we’ve been working so hard. I had so much to do I actually missed going to the game today…which actually might have been a good thing considering how the Chargers did.
I am TIRED but I wanted to show my blog a little love and just say that I am thankful. For everything. I am thankful for the joy, the sadness, the love, and the smiles. All the experiences I’ve had and all the things I’ve heard, seen…and all the people who have loved me, make my life what it is today. Of course there are things that can always be better but I am elated to have what I do.
Thank you Mom, Papa & Grandma…thank you Dalin…thank you Heather…thank you Kathy, Robert & Dierra…thank you family…and thank you FRIENDS (you know who you are). I hope you all had a fantastic holiday. :)
I am leaving you with a mess of random images…this first picture is of the countertop and our Aunt Kathy’s house when we arrived late Thursday on our third and final thanksgiving dinner stop. It cracks me up. We were late so they were starting to clean up but that didn’t stop my dear husband from breaking out the zip lock bags and containers (that he brought with us) to take home the yummy home cookin’.
And finally, one of my super-hero. Just a quick moment in time – but I love it. I think it’s the sparkle of his wedding ring. He thinks it looks like a cell phone ad.
That’s it for now…it’s past my bed time.
::hugs:: – C
alyssa and craig sittin’ in a tree… :)

Random thought: It’s funny how my blog is slowly turning into a photo blog. I think I might need to take a break from picture posting for a couple days, I gotta keep it real, you know? haha I do think about other things, I swear.
Back to the original point…I’m posting today to share some teasers from a fantastic engagement afternoon I had with Alyssa and Craig. They are setting their wedding date soon and I couldn’t be more excited about their venue (I’m keeping it a secret because it’s her exciting news to share!!).
I’ve known Alyssa since high school so it was really special to be the one to take her engagement photos. I’m loving my new hobby in general but it feels really great to be able to give something special to my dear friends and family. I’ve never really been good at much. Not that I think I’m that great yet but it’s just a good feeling. Now I’m rambling.
On to the posting…
Craig proposed by the seals/children’s beach in La Jolla so he wanted to take her there for the photos (awww….sweet!!).
The best moment of the day for me was when we were trying to set up a funny shot in front of the potty and all of a sudden, a man came out of the one Alyssa was standing in front of – nearly knocking her over. She looked so embarassed, it was a hilarious moment. :)
..just a few more…
Congratulations lovebirds!
baby jordan

Today was a good day…I went and saw my mom this morning, ate at one of my favorite restaurants D Z Akins, and on my way to Scripps Ranch for Baby Jordan’s shoot – I filled up my gas tank for $31. I was in SHOCK! The gas was only $1.99/gallon. That put me in a fantastic mood!! :)
When my cousin and I arrived at the Zeller’s home, baby Jordan was just so adorable and mommy looked beautiful as ever. It was my first shoot (usually I just take pics stalker-style ) so obviously it was my first time doing a baby session…I felt a little clueless but it was a blast and I got some shots that I really, really love.
I have to run off but I wanted to post these before I go…..thank you Erin for having me at your home today. It was so great to finally meet Jordan, I can’t wait to do it again!!
this one is my favorite, I love the sun flare…
I hope you like ‘em – there are a lot more! :)
With love – C
finally friday
You can’t have Thanksgiving with no turkey. That’s like 4th of July without apple pie, or like Friday with no two pizzas!”
-Friends
Are you ready for the weekend?
Man, work is a bit crazy these days and I’m thankful that when I wake up tomorrow it’s going to be Friday. Yes! I thought it might never come. I have an insane to do list this weekend so there won’t be much down time but at least I’ll be doing a few of my favorite things – spending time with family & friends, taking pictures (2 sessions this weekend!), and going to the Charger game (hell yeah!). I know…they aren’t having the best season, but I must say, the fun of a San Diego home game remains uncompromised!!
I guess this post was just to say I hope everyone has a fantastic weekend. If you’re working as hard as me…you deserve it!
Here are a few pics from the last home game (just tryin to get you fired up for Sunday!)
Tailgating…Barbies & Beer
I’m not sure I can put into words how happy my husband was to see this:
Almost as happy as me when I caught this “What not to wear” moment. I blurred the face cause, well…she’s a fashion victim.
Audrey’s first game and she was a natural…
The wind trying to take my mom away..
Last but not least…I think it’s important for every man to see what a real man does for his woman when she’s in the port-o-potty. :)
Good times….GOOOOOOOO Chargers & Happy Friday to all.
