yvette’s turn :)
Some friends come and go for a season, others are arranged in our lives for a reason.

Why so many wedings, you ask? I promise to explain it later…but yes, I have a lot of married friends it’s not your imagination…hahaa.
Today’s post is just a simple one to share my excitement that it’s Yvette’s bachelorette weekend. We have a group of 18-ish ladies who have gotten or are getting married and I feel Yvette is the one responsible for creating such a tight-knit group of girls who were strangers only a year ago. Not only is she one of the most gracious and loving friends, but she always shows up to support…whether it be my bridal shower, Katie’s wedding set-up, a sushi get together, a boudoir pic emergency, a girl’s slumber party, Helena’s bachelorette, brunch in North County, ALL of our weddings, and even Dalin’s 30th BDay bash at AC.
I’m so glad it’s finally her turn. :) I am happy to “crash” her party in Las Vegas this weekend and I’ve got my fingers crossed that she has the time of her life – we SO owe it to her.
And because I apparently can’t post without posting pictures…here are some snapshots from the best bridal shower ever (besides your own of course), it was at Phil’s…yum!
Happy bachelorette, Yvette!
The Rehearsal
Practice makes perfect.
-Who Knows?
Wedding rehearsals are often eclipsed by the grandeur of the wedding day. Sadly, the memories are merely swept under the rug the minute you wake up the following morning.
It’s too bad, really…Some of my most precious memories were spent with my friends the evening before our weddings. Childhood stories, chick flicks, and last minute wedding day preparations, combined with drinks and laughter with good friends create a recipe that can rarely be equaled; we should pay the rehearsal a little more respect.
Random post, you say??? Well, it just so happens, this post was inspired by a few candids from Rebekah and Josh’s Rehearsal/Wedding Day Eve. It was an awesome evening with great food, great drinks and lots of love.
And, of course, I’m in the mood to share… Here you go!
Good times. :)
can’t stop crying
Friends are angels following you through life.

It’s one of my best friend’s wedding day. We are all in the bridal suite (which is GIGANTIC) – I just finished with hair and make-up but can’t stop crying. I am so overcome with emotion. When I first arrived to the suite, I hung her dress up in the window so I could take a picture but found myself sitting on the floor in tears. What is wrong with me? I am an emotional wreck! :) I think it has something to do with it being the first wedding I’ve been in since my own and I’m going through all the same emotions again. Maybe? I don’t know but I need to stop or these fake eyelashes are going to end up on the floor.
I love Rebekah so much and am ecstatic that she and Josh are getting married today. Who knew that 7 years ago when I took her over to his house that we’d be here today at their wedding???!! He just sent over the most heartfelt handwritten note accompanied by beautiful Cartier diamond earrings to match her wedding ring. Way to go Joshie!
The day couldn’t be more perfect. I can’t wait to post pictures. (Although I can’t seem to get any good ones because I’m too busy crying) haha I’ll be surprised if I make it through the ceremony without losing it completely.
I love today.
