Wonder Wife & her personal ramblings

can’t stop crying

Friends are angels following you through life.

It’s one of my best friend’s wedding day.  We are all in the bridal suite (which is GIGANTIC) – I just finished with hair and make-up but can’t stop crying.  I am so overcome with emotion.  When I first arrived to the suite, I hung her dress up in the window so I could take a picture but found myself sitting on the floor in tears.  What is wrong with me?  I am an emotional wreck!  :)  I think it has something to do with it being the first wedding I’ve been in since my own and I’m going through all the same emotions again.  Maybe?  I don’t know but I need to stop or these fake eyelashes are going to end up on the floor.

I love Rebekah so much and am ecstatic that she and Josh are getting married today.  Who knew that 7 years ago when I took her over to his house that we’d be here today at their wedding???!!  He just sent over the most heartfelt handwritten note accompanied by beautiful Cartier diamond earrings to match her wedding ring.  Way to go Joshie!

The day couldn’t be more perfect.  I can’t wait to post pictures.  (Although I can’t seem to get any good ones because I’m too busy crying)  haha  I’ll be surprised if I  make it through the ceremony without losing it completely.

I love today.

A house is made of walls and beams; a home is built with love and dreams.

We’re home!  I’m upset I haven’t had the time to post since we were in Madrid but it’s been so hectic since we’ve returned.  I have so much to share about the trip but that will be delayed because…well…I feel the need to mix it up a little, so you’ll need to stay tuned.

I definitely love Europe – but there is nothing better than coming home to familiar faces, places, and FOOD!  You don’t realize how good Mexican food is until you can’t have it.  I was also anxious to get home and catch up on all the edge-of-your-seat political news I missed while I was gone (almost as important as Mexican food – ha).  I can’t believe what is happening to our economy, it is so terrible, yet especially interesting being that I am employed by “the enemy” – a financial institution.  Luckily, it is of the safest and the most successful even in this economic environment.  I am thankful to work where I do.

That was a tangent.

Back to my love of San Diego, one of the other things I missed was seeing friends – I love spending time with my husband SO much – but “girl time” is always a necessity every once in a while.  Even though only two weeks had past, to me, it felt like I had some serious catching up to do so Friday night dinner with the girls was a perfect end to the week (it was Mexican food, too!).  To make it even better, after dinner we headed on over to the Del Mar Powerhouse to see Jennifer at her wedding reception (we crash each other’s receptions…long story, I’ll tell it later) .  She looked breathtaking, the venue looked perfect, and the cake was NOM NOM NOM. :)   All of her hard work planning the event was worth it, it was gorgeous.

I have a pic to share…it is my VERY FIRST TIME USING PHOTOSHOP, so please don’t judge me.  Luckily, it’s really hard to ruin a picture of such an adorable couple.

Congratulations lovebirds!!

A beautiful couple at a beautiful wedding

…so happy to be home…
